Hybrid technology has proven itself and is here to stay. A few years ago, there were some concerns about power and acceleration as a trade off for the improved fuel economy and reduced emission, but today's Hybrids can produce both power and fuel saving. If you're even considering a gas/electric hybrid I would encourage you to drive one, you may just save yourself a bunch of money, and save us all a bunch of pollution. It's a win/win.
