Phoenix, Ariz.,
February 27, 2008 –
Lights, camera, action! This Friday, a new major motion picture titled Bonneville, starring Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Joan Allen will hit the theaters. The movie is a story about three friends who ''come of age'' on a cross-country road trip from Pocatello, Idaho to Santa Barbara, California, making a stop in Lake Powell, Arizona.
“We are very excited for the Lake Powell area to be showcased in this movie,” said AAA Arizona Senior Vice President of Automotive and Travel Services Jim Prueter. “It gives those who are not familiar with this part of our state an opportunity to see what a unique part of Arizona it is.”
AAA is the official Bonneville road trip travel planner and a sponsor of the Bonneville Web site, www.bonnevillethemovie.com. At the Web site, movie fans can “drive” the movie route following a special TripTik AAA created exclusively for the film and view AAA Tourbook guide content for all the stops along the movie’s cross-country road trip. The website also offers the opportunity for movie fans to enter the Bonneville sweepstakes, which offers the opportunity to win prizes such as hotel stays and travel packages from AAA.
Bonneville will be released to several parts of the state, including Phoenix, Flagstaff, Sedona and Prescott on Friday, February 29.
